ADASIA Road Project

Project Name: the treatment of ADASIA road sliding


Location: Dead Sea
Client: Ministry of Public Works and Housing
Project Description: Project Description: Treatment of the existing slippage on the Amman-Dead Sea road in the ADASIA area (approximate length  of 500 m), treatment of groundwater and surface water located within the NABAAT area, work of protections and appropriate drainage system for it, and re-establishment of road layers in the affected area, including:
  1. Preparing plans for conducting and making appropriate detours before, during work and in emergencies.
  2. Carrying out the necessary geotechnical studies and developing engineering solutions for all possibilities to process and monitor slippage for a period of one year, taking the readings of the wells monitoring, Deliver a technical report thereon, indicating the advantages of the recommended solution, and providing a table of the estimated cost of the alternatives including all the main construction items.
  3. Preparing detailed bills and bills of quantities for obstacles and services that are included within the slip zone and identifying the appropriate places to displace, remove or re-establish them in coordination with the concerned authorities and include these works in the bills of quantities.
  4. Preparing plans and bills of quantities for several alternatives for traffic detour and traffic signals if necessary, choosing the best alternative, in addition to providing special plans to link local events within the project.
  5. Provide the necessary technical reports, preliminary report, final report, cost estimates, engineering calculations and all study requirements.
  6. Preparing hydrological studies for the slip area with the design of the surface and groundwater drainage system, conducting monitoring well readings with a technical report on the surface and subsurface of the slip area, making a monitoring system for a year, preparing periodic reports for monitoring wells with analysis of the results and auditing the soil monitoring study for slipping and groundwater.
  7. Provide the necessary technical reports such as soil report, hydrological study report, preliminary and final report, cost estimates and construction accounts.
  8. Perform laboratory tests necessary for the design, evaluation of existing pavement layers and reconstruction of damaged parts in the slip zone. Resolution

  1. Cadastral works, including surveying and detailed area of the study site.
  2. Designs, plans, bills of quantities and tender documents, including the costs of following up the geotechnical and water works of the site represented in the preparation of designs and solutions resulting from geotechnical and hydrological recommendations, including walls, tendencies, terraces, preparation of bills of quantities, conditions and specifications necessary for implementation.
  3. Soil investigation work for the slip site according to tests and depths.
