Narrative Description of Project: This project aims to provide vulnerable Jordanians and Syrian refugees with short-term employment opportunities (Cash for Work) while simultaneously addressing the issue of water flooding in Jordan. The design included detailed drawings, structural design, BOQs, specifications, confirmation and revision of the hydraulics and hydrology studies, a flood map for the downstream area prepared by WVI, and a land survey for the location of flood mitigation structures. Description of Actual Services Provided:
- Conduct a topographic survey for the location of flood mitigation structures.
- Propose, Develop, and prepare the preliminary design of flood mitigation structures, soil test, confirmation and revision of the hydraulics and hydrology studies which prepared by WVI.
- Identify the appropriate location and positions of the flood mitigation structures.
- Develop and prepare a comprehensive design for flood mitigation structures, including design calculations and detailed shop drawings for each structure.
- Prepare and submit a detailed bill of quantities (BoQs) for all flood mitigation structures.
- Prepare and submit detailed technical specifications for all structure materials.
- Prepare and submit final report.
