Description of Project*:
In order to improve the response to climate resilience in Ma’an, WV intends to prepare a study which aims to promote adaptive livelihoods, provide training and support to empower local communities, and foster economic opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, and water harvesting, by focusing on enhancing climate resilience and creating sustainable livelihood options.
The project seeks to improve the socio-economic conditions in Ma'an governorate and contribute to its long-term development, by rehabilitating watersheds, and forests, and promoting adaptive livelihoods.
The project shall comprise the following elements:
- Water Harvesting System
- Hydroponic Farm
- PV Solar System
Services Provided:
The tasks of the consultancy include the following:
- Conduct a topographic survey for the location of the project.
- Prepare a hydrological study.
- Propose, develop, and prepare the preliminary design of enhanced climate resilience systems and structures.
- Identify the appropriate location and position of each system and structure.
- Geotechnical investigation for the location of structures.
- Develop and prepare a comprehensive design for climate resilience systems and structures, including design calculations and detailed shop drawings for each structure.
- Prepare and submit a detailed bill of quantities (BoQs) for all systems and structures.
- Prepare and submit detailed technical specifications for all structural materials.
