Description of Project:
The project is a 103.4 MWp Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant located on a plot of land with an area of 3000 donum at Qweira - south of Jordan. Works included preparation of environmental and hydrological studies to assess the current situation and the project impact in the future, required for the implementation of the project.
Services Provided:
The development of the following studies (required for the project implementation):
1. The Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) comprised of landscape and visuals, geology, hydrology, hazardous materials and waste, solid waste, wastewater, biodiversity, air quality, noise, archaeology, water supply, and OH&S requirements during construction, along with mitigation measures.
2. A detailed hydrological study includes hydrological flood modelling and the design of structures to mitigate potential floods, such as culverts and open channels.
Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), including underground injection control and groundwater protection, erosion and sediment controls, locating potential sources of pollution, and spill prevention and response.
