The Project Solar Photovoltaic power project with a peak power of approximately 200 MW on a plot of 7,000,000 m2 at AL-MUWAQQAR district, 25 Km northeast Queen Alia International Airport. The plant will generate 563.3 Gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity each year, supplying the annual power needs of approximately 160,000 homes, fulfilling the need to 1.4 billion liter of imported raw oil, and displacing an estimate of 360,000 tons of CO2 each year, and equivalent to 3% of the annual energy consumption of Jordan. Generated Power will be exported to the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) grid, via a new 10 km Transmission Line.
