وضع نائب رئيس الوزراء وزير الإدارة المحلية، توفيق كريشان، يوم الخميس 30-6-2022، حجر الأساس لإنشاء مشروع مكب نفايات الأزرق الصحي الجديد في محافظة الزرقاء، البالغة تكلفته حوالي 13.782مليون دينار. و خلال الحفل تم تكريم شركة المستقبل للاستشارات الهندسية والبيئة ممثلة بمديرها العام المهندس مروان الصفدي لإنجازها الهندسي في المشروع و ذلك عن قيامها بإعداد الدراسات البيئية و التصميم التفصيلي للمشروع, حيث تم تصميم كافة عناصر المشروع محلياً بما يعكس رؤية شركة المستقبل لتكون رائدة الخدمات الهندسية و البيئية في المنطقة, الجدير بالذكر أن المشروع ذو تحديات هندسية خاصة لحجمه و تنوع وظائفه الاستراتيجية بمساحة 200000 متر مربع وحجم أعمال الحفر تبلغ 2.1 مليون متر مكعب، وسعة خلايا النفايات الصحية نحو 8 ملايين متر مكعب، فيما يبلغ العمر الافتراضي لخلايا النفايات الصحية نحو 22.5 سنة، وعمقها حوالي 17 متر, يقدم المشروع للمجتمع المحلي إنجازا بيئياً يخدم بلديات الزرقاء الجديدة و بيرين و الضليل و الحلابات و الأزرق و الرصيفة و الهاشمية. و يعتبر أهم مخرجات الخطة الوطنية التي أطلقتها الحكومة عام 2015 لإدارة النفايات الصلبة.

Thursday, June 30, 2022, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration, Tawfiq Krishan, laid the foundation stone for the construction of the new Azraq sanitary landfill project in Zarqa Governorate, at a cost of about 13.782 million dinars. During the ceremony, MOSTAQBAL Company for Engineering and Environmental Consultants, represented by its General Manager, Eng. Marwan Al-Safadi, was honored for its engineering achievement in the project for its preparation of environmental studies and the detailed design of the project, it is worth noting that the project faces special engineering challenges due to its size and diversification of its strategic functions with an area of ​​200,000 square meters, the volume of excavation works amounting to 2.1 million cubic meters, and the capacity of sanitary waste cells is about 8 million cubic meters, while the life span of sanitary waste cells is about 22.5 years. Its depth is about 17 meters. The project provides the local community with an environmental achievement that serves the municipalities of Zarqa Al Jadeeda, Birin, Al Dhleil, Hallabat, Azraq, Ruseifa and Al Hashemiyah. This project considered the most important outcome of the national plan launched by the government in 2015 to manage solid waste.
