Masdar Solar Photovoltaic 200 MWp Power Plant

Masdar Solar Photovoltaic 200 MWp Power Plant
Project Brief

Green field Solar Photovoltaic power project with a peak power of approximately 200 MWp on a plot of 7000 donum at Muwaqqar district, 25 km northeast Queen Alia International Airport.

Power generated will be exported to the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) grid, the “Off-taker”, via a new 10 km Transmission Line (constructed by others).

The plant will generate 563.3 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity each year, supplying the annual power needs of approximately 160,000 homes, fulfilling the need to 1.4 billion liter of imported raw oil, and displacing an estimate of 360,000 tons of CO2 each year, and equivalent to 3% of the annual energy consumption of Jordan.
